The spread of the Covid-19 epidemic has affected the entire transport and logistics sector, and we had to adapt our organizations and meet new challenges.

Even if the operational situation in France is strongly disturbed, you will find below a table of the different activities

• Maritime service

Shipping companies announce "Blank Sailing" until the beginning of June on the Asia / Europe axis, which will cause a decrease in total capacity on the market
The freight rates announced are stable, but may change depending on supply and demand.
On the other axes (Africa, Americas, Mediterranean and Middle East) the maintenance of freight rates is also announced and no cancellation of service is expected. On the other hand, the processing times could be extended for want of being able to usefully reach some of our interlocutors with the shipowners.

• Situation on container parks and ports

At the same time, French ports are continuing to operate despite a context of general slowdown
Following the implementation of new internal security procedures which impose more frequent scheduling and shift rotation, appointment times are extended. Import flows, which have been declining in terms of volume in recent weeks, will cause an imbalance in the availability of containers in inland parks

• Air service

The air situation is evolving day by day. This sector is indeed faced with the confinement of some countries. Most airlines continue to operate, but on a very limited number of flights. Unfortunately, this situation has a significant impact on the pricing policies applied by airlines and fluctuations (often upwards) occur every day. Our teams can be reached to offer you the solution best suited to your project based on daily developments in the sector.

• Road transport and container traction

With overall capacity in this sector of around 50%, the drop in activity is notable among carriers (road, rail and barge). The possibilities of finding pull-ups are negotiated day by day. Do not hesitate to make a point with our teams regularly. The imbalance in import volumes compared to exports leads to a reduction in the possibilities of One Way solutions on some axes. Remember to check the possibilities beforehand and above all anticipate your needs as much as possible.
